Service Before the Emergency Call – Why it’s so important to tune up before hot weather

By S. Kim Henson

Nothing leaves homeowners hotter under the collar than a broken HVAC system on a scorching summer afternoon, especially when it could have been prevented. Maintenance helps troubleshoot problems and it is more economical than major repairs. Plus, if your HVAC system stops cooling, hot weather makes for what seems like a long wait even with the fast service from Carolina Cool.

In other words, cost and convenience are two convincing reasons to service before the emergency call.

Here are a few more to let you know why it’s important to tune up before hot weather.

• Tune-ups keep an HVAC system performing efficiently, save on power bills and repairs, as well as add to the longevity of the unit.

• Tune-ups detect problems like faulty electrical connections that may be unsafe or a plugged drain that could cause water damage.

• Tune-ups offer flexibility in scheduling (unlike emergencies), plus when you call ahead, you beat the crowds calling about summer heat.

Carolina Cool’s HVAC Energy Service Agreement offers a 28-point inspection twice a year. Call today and make an appointment.
